The open plan kitchen/living/dining area flows to sun-drenched decks on one side, ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining, and to a private, sheltered internal courtyard on the eastern side with generous seating areas around a superb fire-pit...where many a happy gathering has taken place on those long, balmy Mahia evenings.
Take your coffee, or a glass of wine to the upstairs retreat...quite simply the perfect spot to escape to with a good book, or to just relax and recharge whilst taking in the stunning views of Mokotahi Hill and across the bay to Waikokopu, and the glorious sunsets. The master bedroom is up here, together with an ensuite bathroom, a dressing room and a small living area. There are three other double bedrooms on the ground level and a bunkroom/chill space for the teenagers on the lower level, so plenty of room for friends and family to stay and play.
Stroll down Kahawai Street to the golden sands of Mahia Beach, where safe-swimming and boogie-boarding are popular and the local shop, bar/bistro and Mahia seaside markets (in the summer months) are only a few minutes' walk from home. For keen boaties and fisher-people, the Mahia Beach boat ramp is a short drive away and a day on the briney here invariably results in an abundance of kaimoana for the barbeque.
