When location matters for growing of produce, the Bay of Plenty has it all-the climate, the population and the networks. The rural service centre of Te Puke is located in the Western Bay of Plenty on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island and a short drive from the city of Tauranga which has a population of over 1000,000. You are also within a two and half's drive of 44% of New Zealand's population.
The Western Bay of Plenty covers 208,472 hectares, stretching approximately 90 kilometres along the coastline from Wahi in the north to Te Puke in the south and about 32 kilometres inland to the rugged, bush covered Kaimai ranges. The landscape is dominated by two key features: the harbour and the 232m high Mount Maunganui (Mauao) where one of New Zealand's most popular beaches is found.
Te Puke is known as the Kiwifruit capitol of the World. It is a picturesque community town located 20 km southeast of Tauranga City and has a warm temperature climate. It receives between 2,200 and 2,400 hours of sunshine per year, making it one of the sunniest places in New Zealand. Summer daytime temperatures average 22-24 degrees Celsius (70-75, Fahrenheit) and in winter 16-18 degrees Celsius (60-65 Fahrenheit). The average annual rainfall is 1,198 mm, falling below the national average of approximately 1,400 mm per annum.
This area is best known for the lifestyle. Within easy access there are a number of sandy beaches. Just off shore there can be found some great spots for diving and fishing for some of the bays best snapper and crayfish. Inland you will find walk ways, bike tracks and lakes. This is a place that caters to all ages with plenty to keep the mind occupied.
The subject property is located between Te Puke and Tauranga some 3 km's from the Te Puke township and 17 km to the city of Tauranga.
