Shopping needs are well catered for in Rototuna. There are three supermarkets in close proximity (New World, Foodtown and Woolworths) and a Westfield mall housing major chain stores. Library, veterinary services and other amenities can be found at nearby Chartwell.
Rototuna and Chartwell are well connected by public transport. The Orbitor bus circuits the city and provides links to key destinations including Flagstaff, Chartwell, University, Hospital, Dinsdale, Wintec and the Base.
