Real Estate became a career choice in 1998 after being involved in several transactions personally. Mat decided that this was a business, meeting the challenges and goals necessary in a career.

After entering the profession he quickly proved that results came from hard work and a motivation to succeed. Studying further to gain the Rural Sales Certificate and recently completing the

National Diploma in Real Estate, Mat now has the qualification of Associate of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (AREINZ) which is a goal he set out to achieve 2 years prior.

Since the foundation of Bayleys Wanaka Franchise in June 2002, the business has grown to be one of Wanakas’ leading Real Estate Companies. This goal has been achieved through sheer determination and a dedicated team expressing the Bayleys brand.

As company Auctioneer, Mat has conducted several successful auctions in Wanaka and enjoys the hype and emotion involved in calling auctions.

Mat has concluded several large transactions in the area on behalf of clients being involved in the Sale of Hillend Station, Oakridge, Camphill Estates Development and many other residential sales in excess of 1 Million dollars. Believing that all Real Estate, and all people are as important as each other, Mat has also been involved in several sales at the lower end of the market,

completing Sales under $300,000.
