Beachfront Property Taranaki
Bayleys has long been recognised as specialist marketers of New Zealand waterfront properties. A dedicated Waterfront division has been developed at Bayleys in order to cater for the needs of vendors and purchasers as well as developing specialised marketing initiatives these highly sought after properties deserve.
Bayleys is the New Zealand market leader in maximising national and international interest in high quality waterfront properties, often located in remote areas. This leadership has been based on a combination of market knowledge and experience, and is exemplified by Bayleys flagship publication – its annual Waterfront portfolio.
The unique Waterfront portfolio markets a diverse yet select range of properties that cover the full spectrum of New Zealand’s coastal landscape. Over many years of involvement in the waterfront market, Bayleys has built up a database of potential purchasers interested in waterfront properties and this has become an important component of the marketing campaign.

BAYLEYS COMES TO TARANAKI
Taranaki real estate company Robert Angus & Associates Ltd has joined forces with one of New Zealand’s largest real estate companies, Bayleys Realty Group, to establish a Bayleys operation in Taranaki.
Current Robert Angus & Associates Ltd owners Robert Angus and Neale Parkinson will own the Bayleys franchise in Taranaki in conjunction with Success Realty, owners of Bayleys offices in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
Richard Valintine, formerly Bayleys senior national auctioneer, has been appointed branch manager of Bayleys Taranaki, which will initially operate out of Robert Angus & Associates existing office in Powderham Street, New Plymouth.
Bayleys’ executive chairman John Bayley says the move into Taranaki is part of an expansion plan to establish a presence in strategic locations throughout New Zealand.
"We have identified Taranaki as a significant growth opportunity and have been waiting for the right opportunity to enter the market. An important part of our expansion strategy is to do so in conjunction with strong local partners and Robert Angus has a long established and well respected real estate business which is a good fit with our business operation and philosophy."
Mr. Bayley says the opening of Bayleys’ 60th office in Taranaki also re-establishes strong family business ties with the province. His grandfather George Bayley was a lawyer in Hawera and his mother’s father was a bank manger in Stratford
Robert Angus, who established his boutique real estate agency 22 years ago, says factors attracting him to Bayleys included its New Zealand ownership, extensive support services and marketing skills.
"We will be combining our local presence and experience with Bayleys’ substantial corporate resources, particularly in the area of national and international marketing."
"There is increasing interest in Taranaki property from other parts of New Zealand and offshore. Bayleys is able to tap into these markets very effectively with its well-established client databases, internet site and its property portfolios and marketing initiatives."
Richard Valintine says Bayleys Taranaki office will be looking to build on the strong presence that Robert Angus & Associates already has in the middle to upper end residential and lifestyle property and to further develop other sectors of the market that Bayleys also has a strong profile in nationally, including commercial and industrial and rural property.
"We will be recruiting additional staff in these areas and its likely that we will be moving into larger premises before too long."
Mr. Valintine says Robert Angus & Associates and Bayleys share a strong focus on obtaining success for clients through a high profile marketing approach to connect properties with the best buyers and have a genuine desire to contribute to the enrichment of the community through supporting key local events. As a Bayleys auctioneer for the past 12 years has assisted hundreds of community organisations with fund raising events.
He also has a strong connection with Taranaki having been born and educated in the province and with family business interests in the auctioneering, farming and medical professions dating back a number of generations. His grandfather Thomas Valintine was a GP in Inglewood for a decade before joining the Department of Health where he eventually became director general.
Success Realty chief executive Ross Stanway says the opportunity to expand its rural property business, which is a strong part of his company’s Bayleys franchise operation in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, is one of the main reasons for establishing a presence in Taranaki.
"We believe there is a substantial opportunity to grow our rural business in Taranaki – particularly given the track record we have established in the marketing of dairy farms in the Waikato – and we will be focusing some serious attention on this sector of the market."
