Improvements | Unfinished three bedroom bach on one title |
Land Area | Two lots over 39ha (more or less) |
Other Features | Riparian rights, covered in native forest |
This unique property is one of nature's gems. One 39 ha title in two separate lots on the Whangaroa Harbour accessed only by boat. Both lots have riparian rights. A partially completed house on an elevated peninsular offers spectacular views over the harbour.
The Totara North lot is 26ha in size and extends from Captain Davis bay & Honeymoon bay to behind St. Peters' Rock to the southwest and then over and down to Totara North. Access is currently via a natural rock jetty under the Pohutukawa trees. The bach in a commanding position on top of the peninsular with views to St. Pauls and right up the harbour. The 'house' is unfinished, when it was built it had approved council permit, but it is not yet consented for occupancy. The walls, cladding, and roof are finished but there are no functioning kitchen or bathrooms.
The other lot is East of the house lot and is 13ha in size and extends up steep terrain. A future owner might look at development or preserve. Both lots are completed covered in native bush with rock escarpments and boulders.
Good cell phone coverage in the area means a work from bach/home type scenario is plausible. Access by boat from Whangaroa Wharf only takes a few minutes by water taxi. Whangaroa harbour is an area steeped in history. It is a maritime playground and serves as a base for some of the best game fishing available.
This is a really special place, peaceful tranquil and you are instantly on holiday when you get there. Viewing by appointment.
