First Time On The Market In 40 Years

Spectacular views out over Lucas Creek to the Waitakere Ranges in the distance, gentle contour, mature trees creating character and privacy and with an extensive road frontage makes this bare block beauty an opportunity not to be missed. The family matriarch of the current owners had foresight indeed when over forty years ago she astutely acquired this piece of iconic Albany to hold as a long term investment. Now surplus to the families' requirements the property is available for the next foresighted investor or lifestyle property seeker to secure.

Located on the western side of the Albany Highway, bordered by lifestyle properties and a Regional Council Reserve, and opposite the Unsworth Heights Residential Estate entrance this 1.9567ha (5 acre approx.) bare block is strategically located for a multitude of uses in the heart of the fast developing Albany Super Centre. Build a country residence that enables you to have the 'good life' plus enjoy all the cosmopolitan trappings of a bustling city just down the road, or hold as a 'land banking' investment.

Within 5 minutes drive to both the Northern and North-western motorway on-ramps and only a 20 minute commute to Auckland City makes this one of the last and most conveniently located undeveloped lifestyle blocks north of the Harbour Bridge. There is a wide selection of public and private schools, Massey University only a short walk or drive up the road. The Albany Mega Centre provides a huge variety of boutique or bulk shops, cafes, restaurants, and food hall and entertainment options close at hand. The safe white sand East Coast Bays beaches and the Waitemata Harbour or the wild West Coast black sand surf beaches and Woodhill Forrest adventure playground are all within 20-30minutes drive.

More about Albany...

Albany is a northern suburb of the North Shore only 15kms northwest of the Auckland City Centre. It contains the northern campus of Massey University and houses one of the Auckland region's newest sports facilities, North Harbour Stadium. The area (the future 'Albany City') is fast-growing in terms of its population and the development. A major shopping centre hub opened in the late 1990s and has since expanded; with Westfield Albany one of New Zealand's largest shopping centres.

Considerable housing development has also taken place, which has been facilitated by the extension of the Northern Motorway through the area and by 2021 the Albany City area is expected to house 9,000 residents and 15,000 workers.

To the north-west of Albany also lies Coatesville and Dairy Flat, a predominantly residential/lifestyle locality favoured by people seeking a country environment while remaining within 10 minutes commute to Albany City and 30 minutes to Auckland CBD.
