Three members of the same family, an architect, an artist and a builder created this grown up treehouse. Tucked away in lush bush surroundings, this privately positioned home is light and airy and perfectly peaceful. You can't see another house, yet you are only minutes away from Oneroa village.
With a floor level the same as the native canopy, you feel high up in the treetops, the dappled light filtering through the kanuka that is home to abundant bird life. Being surrounded by the soft greenness of the leaves is calming and restorative.
Inside the vertically clad cedar home, warm white walls are complemented by the golden tones of American oak floors. Celestory windows open to bring in the summer breezes; in winter they let the Northern sunlight stream in for natural warmth. The uncomplicated layout makes housework quick and easy.
