McQuade Forest is a tidy, established, second rotation forest situated on the Parapara Road approximately 36 kilometres north of Whanganui city.
The current Pinus Radiata crop was planted in 2015 and 2016, and includes a comprehensive all weather roading network to most areas of the block. The first rotation was planted pre 1989 and is carbon neutral. The total area is 230.6 hectares with approximately 163 hectares currently planted in Pinus Radiata with the balance being native bush, roading and waterways.
Coming up for its first prune and thin, this block is potentially already 20% of the way through its rotation cycle making this a very safe proposition. McQuade Forest is a well established, long term investment with the added advantage of being in an area with a thriving fallow deer population, great for hunting enthusiasts.
