'Parehua' Dairy - Self Contained
Parehua, 253.5 hectares (subject to final survey) located 15 minutes from Pahiatua and 30 minutes from Palmerston North.
Comprising of a highly productive 121 hectare milking platform and supported by a 133 hectare hill block providing a fully self contained dairy operation.
340 cows are milked through a 40 bale rotary shed, with new in-shed feeding system. Production last season was 125,402 kgMS and a target for this season of 139,000 kgMS.
Two good homes and excellent support sheds (including a very good woolshed). Well consented for effluent and water and most of the platform regrassed in the last 5 years.
Flat and rolling contour on the platform has superior Kairanga and Manawatu silt loam soils, a centrally located dairy shed and underpass connecting the river flats.
The dry stock block is mainly medium to steep hill but all utilised for winter grazing and replacement stock. Well subdivided and with a gravity supply water system. (Dam fed).
