Rarely does an olive grove with such a rich awards history come to the market
ust South of Greytown lies Juno Olives, one of New Zealand's most highly awarded olive groves. Only a handful of New Zealand olive oils have ever won a medal at the prestigious, New York International Olive Oil Competition. In the past two years Juno Olives has won a gold and two silver medals, at what is the premier olive oil competition in the world.
First planted in the Spring of 2001, this well-established olive grove has built its reputation on its single varietal olive oils, as well its range of very traditional Agrumato flavoured oils.
The offering comes complete with a comfortable four bedroom home with garaging.
A barn has been recently converted to a tasting room, tank room and preparation room. There is also a fenced paddock and water race, where the current owners run a small flock of Shropshire sheep.
Juno Olives has developed strong direct to customer sales channels, and maintains strong sales through high-end Wellington restaurants. Sitting on 6.9 hectares of land, it is a genuine income producing operation.
The grove, with its proven track record of awards success, would be ideal for a new operator looking to leapfrog into the industry. Or for an existing olive oil producer to continue the grove's outstanding history of accolades.
