Prime Hotel Investment Opportunity

The vendors are wishing to retire and are inviting all interested parties to submit offers. Make no mistake the vendors are strongly motivated to achieve a sale so there is a real opportunity for prospective purchasers to acquire a substantial tourism asset.

Structural Issues

An earlier Preliminary Seismic Assessment did identify areas of structural weakness which required attention. The vendor is currently arranging for a Detailed Engineering Evaluation of the buildings to assess the structural integrity and also have costings done to determine the overall financial commitment for any required seismic strengthening.

The D.E.E. will provide a far more comprehensive assessment of the buildings structural integrity. Full details of any structural strengthening work required will be provided along with costings for completion of that work.

The Property

In total there are 27 accommodation units consisting of a single story block and a two story block.

The hotel hosts conferences, weddings and caters for special events.

Situated on the main arterial route into Westport (SH63) on the corner of Fonblanque and Palmerston Streets, the Westport Motor Hotel is a commanding presence as you enter the town. Next door is the main bus depot and further along is the business centre of town.

The Liquorland bottle-store sits directly on the corner with a drive through car-park on the Fonblanque street side and to the rear of this the public bar with outdoor smoking area. Connected to the bottle-store and bar through the kitchen is the conference room and impressive hotel entrance to the reception desk, dining room and house bar. On the other side are the wings of accommodation rooms, one double storey and separated by an attractively landscaped grass area, enjoyed by many a guest on sunny pleasant days and evenings. Behind the reception desk is a large office and entrance to the upstairs owners or managers apartment
