Gleneyre is 369.1561ha (approximately 912 acres) freehold in close proximity to Oxford and Christchurch.
The property has been well farmed with sheep and beef with some dairy grazing over the winter months.
A feature of Gleneyre is the Feed Pad which is fully consented for up to 2000 cattle at any one time on approximately 8ha which could perhaps also be used for housing or wintering cows.
Irrigation at present is via two pivots (approximately 170ha) and a gun system (approximately 75ha) with further development being investigated.
1250 mixed aged Romney Ewes plus 550 ewe and ram hoggets have been wintered plus 50 Angus cows and heifer replacements/sale bulls. These sheep and cattle are all recorded and treated as stud animals. The policy has been to also graze up to 1,000 dairy cows and/or bulls for approximately eight weeks each year. Approximately 120ha per year has been sown in barley to be harvested as grain silage and then sown in new grass or winter feed.
