Nature's Wonderland

Nestled alongside the Urewera's, Koranga Station is 1668 hectares of natural wonderland.

From kilometres of river reserve boundary along the crystal clear Koranga River - renowned for its trout fishing - the farm runs up through healthy, well watered farmland, magnificent stands of Rimu, Totara, Kahikatea, and Matai to moss carpeted native Birch forests. Koranga Station is a special part of New Zealand.

Currently wintering 5,500 very healthy stock units the farm has considerable scope to increase production from the flock of easy care Perendale sheep and the herd of pure bred Angus cattle.

Koranga has a full range of well-maintained station buildings which include a good four bedroom manager's home, a five stand woolshed, workshop, self-contained cottage, quarters, and other farm sheds.

The crowning glory is a beautifully built and restored, five double bedroom Californian bungalow that has been used by the owners and their guests as a lodge. This home has magnificent Rimu paneling throughout, and two very well appointed bathrooms with of all the necessary conveniences. The homestead has large decks and verandas for outdoor entertaining and is sited to take advantage of the truly spectacular bush, river and mountain views.

Located 95 kilometres from the centre of Gisborne and 82 kilometres from Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty, the property is readily accessed from a number of regions.

Koranga Station offers a true wonderland of bush, hunting, fishing and farming.
