The Bayleys Asia team has met with a wide variety of quality buyers at last weekend’ s Luxury Property Showcase in Beijing.

The LPS is an opportunity for exhibitors from around the world to attract Chinese investors to high end properties in their country. Friday April 24th was day one of the showcase at the impressive Legendale Hotel, Beijing.

The Bayleys Canterbury stand, the only from New Zealand, attracted much interest from wealthy Chinese with many showing a keen interest to invest.

“Those interested have proven quite knowledgeable about New Zealand and the opportunities and lifestyle that is available here,” says Richard Norris from Bayleys Canterbury.

“Chinese buyers are excited how much their money can buy here in the luxury space but have also shown great interest in entry level properties with a view to renting now and immigrating later. We’ve also met with bankers and others looking to invest offshore on behalf of their clients”, he says.

Richard and the team of four have fielded questions around immigration, investment returns and property taxation.

“Between 10am and 6pm, our team sat and spoke to a huge number of interested parties and handed out over 500 magazines. While Friday saw most interest from business investors, Saturday and Sunday are set to welcome more private individuals.”
