For the elderly, selling their much-loved home has to be one of the most stressful and overwhelming processes to go through. This was certainly the case with my own parents who needed to maximize the sale of their home in order to allow them to move into a retirement village and in doing so, enjoy their senior years without worry. They were sold on the benefits of a 1% agency, who promised the world and failed to deliver on every level. Four weeks later they were without a single offer on the back of some very average marketing and advised that unless they reduced their price they would walk away. There was no offer to extend the listing, change strategy in marketing or even allow interested parties to come through via appointment during the week. This was never about working for my parents but working for themselves.
