Lou’s interior design background is one of her most compelling points of difference when it comes to selling homes. Where many agents see a property Lou sees potential including the details that photograph beautifully and the small improvements that shift a buyer's emotional response. She has spent years inside some of Auckland's most distinctive homes, advising owners on how to present and enhance them, and she brings that same trained eye to every listing. For vendors this means genuinely informed guidance on presentation and styling when first impressions are everything.
But it is Lou's instinct for people that defines her most. Owning a café and wine bar in Kerikeri for eighteen years, as well as a homewares and interior design store, she learned to read a room, to listen carefully and to make people feel genuinely looked after. Those skills translate directly to real estate, where trust, timing and communication can make the difference between a good result and a great one. Lou understands that selling a home is rarely just a financial transaction; it carries real emotional weight and she treats it with the care it deserves.
Lou has deep personal roots in the Ponsonby and Grey Lynn area. Her father grew up in Grey Lynn, her sister and friends are woven through the neighbourhood, and she has spent well over a decade connected to its streets, cafés, and community. That familiarity means she speaks about the area with credibility, which resonates with both buyers and sellers alike. Her decision to join Bayleys was deliberate. Lou is an ‘active relaxer’ and in her spare time enjoys pilates, restoring furniture, gardening and maintaining her Waiheke holiday home.
