Michael is a qualified valuer and an associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a seasoned real estate professional with over 35 years of experience in the industry.

As a former Associate Director of the Bayleys Investment agency team specialising in investment and development property, he has a strong business network across New Zealand and offshore. Experienced at building project teams having spent ten years as manager and shareholder of Bayleys North Shore where his team achieved exceptional results. This expertise is invaluable in leading the Bayleys Add Value real estate team, which identifies the appropriate project team, specific to the location and asset class to provide clients with trusted real estate advice that can deliver superior results.

Known as open and direct, his client-centric approach allows Michael to build highly trusted relationships. Michael is recognised for creative thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver pragmatic and personally tailored solutions. His knowledge of contract law means he can structure complex real estate transactions, helping his clients achieve a competitive advantage in the process.

Aside from real estate, Michael is also a director of A1 Student Arrowsmith School, a private school in St Heliers run by his wife, Pip Block. The school helps students and adults across New Zealand make life-changing gains by improving how they think, learn, and remember.

Michael operates across multiple real estate sectors with special expertise in development, investment, and sales. His reputation for hard work and high moral integrity puts his client’s interests first.
