Mike is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for privately owned businesses. Whether it is advising business owners on how they can improve their businesses for sale at a later stage, or selling the business on behalf of the business owner/s, Mike is committed to ensuring the maximum value is gained for the business owner.

Mike has a strong financial background holding senior positions in banking, finance and insurance, before embracing the world of business sales. Mike is also a qualified accountant.

Mike left the banking industry in 2000 and spent three and half years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Most of this time, Mike spent in advising companies on their capital structure, debt optimisation and business and economic development.

Mike then bought into a small insurance and investment management company on the Kapiti Coast. Mike ultimately sold the business on behalf of the owners around 11 years later. In January 2015, Mike entered the Business Broking world, first up with Link Business Broking for 2 years, the next 5 with DWRE and finally for several years with Bayleys Commercial.

Mike has sold over two dozen businesses during that time in a variety of business sectors.

During the last 10 years, Mike also took time out, initially for 2 years, and subsequently for 18 months to assist a start-up company in Otaki.

Mike is married with three children and nine grandchildren.
