Nigel Thrush hails from Cambridge and is an experienced, hard working professional who values relationships.

Nigel recently moved back to his hometown from stints in Hong Kong, Western Australia, UK and Dunedin, where he was owner/operator of one of the largest and most successful optometry practices looking after a team of over thirty. He and his family plus two maine coon cats moved back to the Waikato to be closer to aging whānau. They enjoy all the things that make living in Cambridge great: mountain biking; rowing; CrossFit; hunting; and surfing both east and west coasts. Nigel’s chuffed to have his children attending his old stomping ground, Cambridge High School. He loves houses and is enjoying renovating and landscaping their character villa in old town Cambridge.

He has embraced diverse roles, from being an exchange student in Hong Kong, an exploration gold geologist in Western Australia, to an optometrist both in the UK and New Zealand.

These varied experiences have shaped Nigel’s approach to life and work, reinforcing his belief that honesty, adaptability, dedication and integrity are the foundations of success. Today, he combines his local roots with global experience to deliver a service that is professional, friendly, and focused on achieving the best outcomes for his clients.

Returning to Cambridge, Nigel is committed to helping people buy, sell, or invest in property with confidence, clarity, and care.
