Supporting our Communities,
it’s what we do.

At Bayleys Canterbury we’ve teamed up with many organisations who share our values and make a difference in our communities around Canterbury and New Zealand. We consider it part of our professional responsibility to give back to the community and to contribute to its vibrancy.

We are proud supporters of many local schools, sports teams and not-for-profit organisations across the country. It's a strong part of our culture and values. Last year we participated with more than 300 organisations, spending hundreds of hours supporting the communities that support us. We loved every minute of it.

Our sponsorship partners enable us to support events and teams which have a positive impact on our community, charity partnerships give us the opportunity to lend a hand.

Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose

Every day, Christchurch City Mission works with some of Canterbury’s most vulnerable individuals, families and communities. Bayleys Canterbury have partnered with the Christchurch City Mission Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose. This project is about more than giving back to our community, it’s about contributing to long-term social change. The big issues that this fundraising project are tackling impact everyone across Aotearoa. By supporting the Christchurch City Mission Back to School Programme through the Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose, we are all able to help remove roadblocks for future generations across Canterbury, by enabling children to face their education with confidence and pride.

Bayleys Canterbury are proud to work alongside the Christchurch City Mission, helping people who need assistance, build a better future for themselves - together we can all make a difference.

"Through cooking, crowdfunding and the power of social media, we invite everyone to help make a positive contribution towards this important initiative."

The BNZ Crusaders

There's no group of people who embody the spirit of Canterbury better than the BNZ Crusaders. The passion, the hard work and the values within the team are an inspiration to us. Sports culture is one that prides itself on diversity, inclusiveness, and growth. Bayleys Canterbury exhibits these same qualities and we couldn't think of a better way to show our support for the Canterbury region, than by helping to develop the legendary BNZ Crusaders.

To top it off the naming rights of the Crusaders Bayleys Horses further harnesses our relationship with the BNZ Crusaders. Bayleys Canterbury has a vision – to see every child in Aotearoa feel safe and living lives they value, this relationship gave us opportunity to use the much loved Crusaders Horses and make a stand against bullying which lead to the creation of our unique story book.

We are proud to be the home team behind the home team, make sure you are dressed in red and black on the right dates and join us in supporting and following the BNZ Crusaders for the upcoming season!

“At the Crusaders, we pride ourselves on being connected to the people of our region and it’s fantastic to be associated with a like-minded organisation such as Bayleys Canterbury. “Bayleys do some incredible work in the community and we’re grateful to have joined with them on a number of occasions to support the people of Canterbury in various ways. I look forward to working with them as we continue to strengthen our existing partnership.”

Ace A Horsey Tail of Courage

Bayleys Canterbury has a vision – to see every child in Aotearoa living lives they value, naming rights of the Crusaders Bayleys Horses gave us opportunity to make a stand against bullying which lead to the creation of our unique story book ‘Ace A Horsey Tail of Courage’.

As social leaders, Bayleys’ efforts to take a stand against bullying led to the creation of our unique story book ‘Ace A Horsey Tail of Courage’. Designed to address the important issue of bullying in such a way that it is relatable for young and old. Ace, A Horsey Tail of Courage encourages children to speak-up and report incidents of bullying whether they are a victim or witness of bullying or even if they are a bully - while reinforcing the message that each and every child matters.

We are very grateful to BullyfreeNZ and the Ministry of Education for working with us to help create a beautiful storyline and a tool for Parents, whanau, and the wider community. You can pick up a copy of Ace, A Horsey Tail of Courage at any of our 10 branches or you can visits Ace’s very own website.

Together lets change lives, one book at a time.

Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust

Ten years ago a small population of tūī were translocated to Banks Peninsula. Now Akaroa residents enjoy their distinctive birdsong and the tūī are beginning to move around the Peninsula. The Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust helps the community to protect and restore native habitat and control predators, which allows the native biodiversity to flourish. With a bold vision for a Pest Free Banks Peninsula by 2050, the tūī and other iconic species like ruru(morepork), pīwakawaka (fantail), kororā (white flippered little blue penguin), hoiho (yellow-eyed penguin) and tītī (sooty shearwater), jewelled geckos, spotted skinks, the Banks Peninsula Tree Weta and Akaroa daisies, are getting a helping hand.Bayleys are proud to support the Trust and the tūī by donating $100 from every house sold on Banks Peninsula to assist with predator control and habitat restoration.

Together we can protect our native taonga for the people of Banks Peninsula and Ōtautahi - Christchurch.
