Chelsea’s focus as manager of the Bayleys Whanganui property management team is very much centred on building and maintaining a supportive culture. Chelsea has many years of experience in the real estate and building industry. She initially started out in administration and marketing for a real estate office in Feilding and quickly discovered a passion for property and dealing with people from all walks of life. She has also worked as franchise manager for a building inspection company, with offices around New Zealand, for three years. This has given her extensive knowledge of the building envelope, which today assists her in recognising maintenance concerns.

Chelsea is known as determined and driven. She once broke her foot two days before heading overseas and, adamant she was still going on the trip, spent two months travelling around Europe in a boot and on crutches. Today this personality trait translates into a strong will to ensure her team delivers an exceptional service to clients.

In her spare time Chelsea considers herself a bit of a DYI nut, which has seen her work on a complete renovation of her home. She has two beloved dogs, a small Bichon Frisé and a big Labrador cross, who she enjoys taking for walks.

Chelsea’s last name is often a talking point when she meets people. It is Dutch in origin and was originally spelt Mooijman. It’s common for people to ask Chelsea how to pronounce it: Moy-Man is the correct way.
