After five years in the stock and station industry and ten years in rural banking, Tony has made many contacts having worked in places such as the Central Plateau, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne and the East Coast.
This experience has given him an in-depth understanding of horticulture, farming, finances and what drives the rural property market.
Since joining Bayleys in July 2008, Tony has been very successful selling over $400 million dollars in rural property and achieving the Top Country salesperson’s Award for Gisborne in the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 years and the 2019 Top Salesperson across all divisions of Eastern Realty Limited, Bayleys in Hawke’s Bay.

Our farm in Dannevirke has recently been sold by Tony Rasmussen of Bayleys Hawke’s Bay after a successful marketing campaign.
The reason we went with Tony was that he had achieved strong sales in the region and when contacted just as a general enquiry I found him to be very helpful, was free with his time and advice and had a great attitude. This combined with his professional background and extensive rural network put him ahead of the pack in our view. After meeting with Tony, we both agreed that an auction would be the best sales method for selling the property to achieve the best result. His advice regarding the marketing strategy that he recommended from his industry knowledge and previous experience was invaluable. The whole process from planning to auction date was laid out and well organised ahead of time so we knew what to expect and that we would be kept informed throughout the sales process.
