Mike brings rare practical and commercial expertise to real estate. Straight out of school, he completed his building apprenticeship while serving for three years in the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment (RNZIR) Territorial Force (TF), an experience that helped shape the discipline, work ethic and resilience he has carried through life and business.
He went on to spend 15 years in the property industry as a construction project manager and qualified Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), and is also a qualified Asbestos (ACM) assessor. This gives his clients a real understanding of the buildings they are buying and selling, from construction quality and maintenance considerations through to how the wider construction market can influence property decisions.
In 2013, Mike founded Auckland-based Anpure Group Ltd, a national supplier of construction sub-services and hire equipment. Leading a team of 25 staff, he developed strong marketing, business strategy and negotiation skills, while also completing an Executive MBA (Hons) through Massey University.
Having completed his own small development project and owned investment properties, Mike understands the buying and selling process from the client’s side of the table. He now combines practical property knowledge, marketing strategy and strong rural networks to help clients achieve better results.
Mike lives on a lifestyle block in Maungatapere, where he has grown export-grade avocados, commercial bananas and syrah grapes. He has also been involved in a range of competitive sports over the years, bringing the same focus, discipline and competitive edge to his real estate career. With strong local relationships and valuable Auckland investor connections, Mike is known for his negotiation skills, practical advice and ability to think outside the box to get deals across the line.
