Passionate about real estate, Greg Russell has had extensive experience marketing family homes through to premium waterfront properties, rental investments to holiday homes, renovations to redevelopments and deceased estates. From the South Island originally, Greg has a broad background in a raft of diverse industries including horticulture, sporting goods, freight forwarding, shipping and also spent some time in the defence forces as a territorial soldier.
In 1999, with the lifestyle and beauty of Mount Maunganui seeming all too irresistible, Greg moved down from Auckland and his passion for selling real estate and the challenges and joys therein, began. The result of that vision and his desire to succeed is now a story engraved on various company and industry trophies.
Recognition was first achieved in 2001 when he secured the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award, and later that year ‘The Most Promising New Salesperson’ for the REINZ Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne district. In 2002 he was recognised among the industry’s elite when he gained the REINZ Award of Excellence for Outstanding Achievement in Residential Sales. He became the ‘Eves Residential Salesperson of the Year’ in 2003 and retained that accolade through 2004, 2005 & 2006 after which he transferred to sister company Success Realty trading as Bayleys Real Estate.
Based in the award winning team at Mt Maunganui, this office was the number one amongst its Realty Group peers in 2017, and also won the highly coveted REINZ accolade of National winner ‘Small Residential Office of the Year – Highest Gross Commission’.
