A lifetime living and working in the farming sector makes Austen Russell a formidable force in rural real estate.
His knowledge of all types of farming and forestry, combined with a wealth of management and business skills have transitioned well into his new career in the real estate industry.
Growing up on a mixed farm in North Canterbury, Austen began a long association with the region and its rural communities. With a background in forestry, and having owned his own sheep and crop farm, Austen has also held a senior management role in one of the South Island’s largest land conversion projects and later the role of Chief Executive of this Canterbury based farming and forestry company.
His recent experience with irrigation consenting and design, land use change and both rural and commercial property management is a strength.
Austen maintains a broad network of business professionals, commercial property owners, farmers and lifestyle block owners from his previous work and continues to build on these established relationships.
With a reputation for providing informed and sound judgement and delivering results, Austen is looking forward to the opportunity in this new role at Bayleys and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for all stakeholders.
