Now in his 22nd year in commercial real estate, Fraser Press is a Director at Bayleys Capital Commercial and has established himself as one of Wellington’s leading commercial and industrial agents. He has consistently featured among Bayleys’ top-performing agents nationwide and has now been recognised by the Bayleys Group for transacting more than $900 million worth of real estate during his career with the company.
Fraser predominantly focuses on Thorndon, Kaiwharawhara, Ngauranga, Porirua, Upper Hutt and the wider Hutt Valley, specialising in commercial and industrial sales and leasing, development land and complex property transactions.
Over more than two decades in the industry, Fraser has been involved in a wide range of transactions, from major investment and development properties through to vacant and semi-vacant buildings, add-value opportunities and large-scale industrial projects. His experience provides clients with a strong understanding of both the investment and owner-occupier markets and the different strategies required to achieve the best result.
Fraser has built his business around strong client relationships, clear communication and a highly proactive approach. A significant proportion of his work comes from repeat and referral business, with long-standing clients continuing to engage him across multiple transactions and projects.
His client base includes private investors, developers, family trusts, major corporates and Crown entities. As a snapshot, recent and long-standing client relationships include Nine Productions Australia, Bidfood, KiwiRail, Willis Bond, Wellington Electricity, Ventia and New Zealand Couriers.
A key strength of Fraser’s approach is the personal ownership and accountability he brings to every appointment. From the initial strategy and positioning of a property through to identifying and engaging target parties, managing market feedback, negotiating terms and completing the transaction, Fraser remains actively involved from start to finish. He takes a highly professional and considered approach to every assignment and holds himself accountable for ensuring each campaign is executed to a consistently high standard.
With more than two decades in the Wellington market, Fraser combines this hands-on approach with an extensive network, detailed local market knowledge and the wider resources of the Bayleys business to ensure every appropriate avenue is explored.
Fraser also specialises in receivership and other complex property assignments, where experience, market knowledge, discretion and the ability to execute a clear sales strategy are particularly important.
As a Director of Bayleys Capital Commercial, Fraser plays an active role in the leadership and growth of the wider team. Alongside his own agency work, he dedicates significant time to assisting other agents to grow their businesses, develop client relationships and identify new opportunities.
After 22 years in the industry, Fraser’s approach remains straightforward: understand the property, understand the client’s objectives, communicate clearly, proactively engage the market and remain personally involved until the transaction is successfully completed.
