Hatfields, a small pretty beach with rocks at each
end is a busy spot in summer with swimmers, waterskiers, boats,
windsurfers and canoes prevalent. It is also very popular with the
local fishermen who launch their boats from the easily accessible
boat ramp. It is well known for its good safe swimming.
Waiwera,
a couple of minutes north, is full of wonderful things to see and
do, with something for everyone. If it's not here, you won't have
to travel far to find it. Its picturesque beach is suitable for
swimming, sunning or relaxing. Waiwera exists due to its
therapeutic thermal hot pools. Waiwera also offers health spa
facilities and a wide range of thermal pools and waterslides
together with a holiday park and restaurant.
Nearby Orewa is a
