The solid bones of a great lifestyle property are here, just 10
minutes from Albany. This very solid four bedroom brick and
weatherboard home, sits on 4.46ha. There is also a separate minor
building that's fully IT wired for an office, or you can use it as
a sleep out. There is also triple car garaging with workshop space,
three 23,000 litre water tanks, five paddocks with a race and
beautiful covenanted bush. Cattle and pigs have been raised here
but this property is also suitable for horses, with lots of space
to create stables, or even add a barn. The 180sqm of floor space
includes two living areas, master bedroom with ensuite, plus a huge
room upstairs that can be another large bedroom, or you can use it
for an office space or another living area. Built in the 1970's
this home is now ready for you to add your personal touch. With a
wood burner, new roof, and all-day sun, it's also extremely warm
and cosy. This is a fantastic opportunity for those wanting the
ultimate smallholder lifestyle so close to the city. For those with
school-age children it's just five minutes to Dairy Flat Primary
School and it is an easy commute to schools such as Northcross
Intermediate and Kristin at Albany, Silverdale Primary, Stella
Maris or Orewa College. For those who love shopping head to Albany
and its myriad of stores or the new Silverdale shopping centre with
its 30 retail outlets.

More About Dairy
Flat:
Dairy Flat lies within the Rodney District on State Highway
17. It is a highly desirable rural district nestled 8 km south of
Orewa beach and only 28 km north of central Auckland. Until the
early 1990s most of Dairy Flat and surrounding district was in
dairy farms of 40 to 60 hectares (100 to 150 acres), but with the
growth of Auckland City and the extension of the Northern Motorway
into the area, these are being gradually subdivided into lifestyle
blocks of around 2 to 5 hectares (5 to 12 acres), many of which are
grazing a few sheep, the pony or a few cows for the freezer.
Although it still retains a rural character, it is counted as part
of the Auckland urban area in official statistics.
Dairy Flat
provides an ideal opportunity for the lifestyle seekers to enjoy
privacy and peaceful country living, whilst still remaining close
to work and schools. We are finding more buyers are considering
Dairy Flat and it is especially popular for kids and horses, with
some great horse friendly properties and an excellent local primary
school plus a small village centre for daily convenience.
Dairy
Flat Primary School enjoys a decile rating of 10, which suggests
the residents of this area enjoy a good standard. Secondary school
is catered for both locally in Orewa and towards the city with an
excellent bus service.
A major facility in Dairy Flat is the
'North Shore Airfield' owned and operated by the North Shore Aero
Club. In addition to club and private aircraft, the field is used
by Great Barrier Airlines.
Within five minutes drive across the
motorway lies the Entertainment Zone, which includes Snow Planet
for great weekend entertainment for all ages.
Dairy Flat's
proximity to Albany, Silverdale and Orewa also has high appeal,
with easy shopping, cafes and Orewa Beach only minutes away. All of
this and less than 30km to the Auckland CBD, it is no wonder Dairy
Flat is quickly gaining on the radar as the next lifestyle hotspot.
