Just 3km off the Alpine Pacific Triangle (Inland Rd) is this lovingly designed log cabin built in 2001 using untreated Lawson Cypress logs with floors and ceilings made of Oregon TandG creating an authentic log cabin look and feel plus a naturally restive environment. The kitchen is very functional with wooden cabinetry and bench tops all in keeping with the log chalet look and feel. The heating is extremely efficient with a log burner on wet back (heating the water) and can also be used for fire top cooking. The log construction creates high insulation value and has under floor and ceiling insulation.\n\nSet on 4006sqm (approx one acre) of land covered in manuka and regenerating beech and totara forest. 25 eucalyptus trees have been planted for firewood plus there is a 10sqm shed for storing all those bits and pieces. Water is sourced from the mountain spring.\n\nDe Kikker Vijver is well established as holiday accommodation.
