"It was the first and only house we looked at"
Nine years ago, our owners were trying to buy their first home.
Queenstown was where they had been looking, but the numbers just didn't work. So they widened their search to Cromwell. Then they found 23 Barry Avenue.
It gave them enough room to have flatmates and help make the mortgage work. A big garden to enjoy through the Central Otago summers. And, with a bit of hard work including building the outdoor BBQ kitchen, it gradually became their home.
Life moved on.
They moved to Christchurch and 23 Barry Avenue became an investment property instead.
Now another venture needs the capital, so after nine years, they are selling.
On auction day, someone else gets to decide what the next chapter for 23 Barry Avenue looks like.
