Planted in 2007 across two terraces on the south bank of the Awatere River, this vineyard features 28 canopy hectares of predominantly Sauvignon Blanc with some Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and a hectare of Viognier.

It is established on free-draining river silt loams with a plant spacing of 2.5m x 1.5m, irrigation water is sourced from an infiltration trench in the river and there are propellers for frost protection. There is one year to run under the current grape supply contract.

Included in the sale is a nearby 58 hectare block of predominantly flat land, well suited to planting long rows running to the northwest. A deep gully, Upton Brook, borders the length of the block and a resource consent to build a dam holding 100,000 cubic metres has recently been granted.
