Mark is a director of the Bayleys in the North business with ten offices from North of Auckland to the Bay of Islands; Orewa Beach, Millwater/Silverdale, Warkworth, Matakana, Omaha Beach, Mangawhai, Bream Bay, Whangarei, Dargaville and Kerikeri.

Mark is responsible for the overall direction and strategy of Bayleys in the North, including implementing our growth strategies and our extensive marketing initiatives, and keeping the standards high across the offices. Mark leads a skilled team of real estate professionals, including specialists in all categories of the business - residential, waterfront, country, commercial and property management.

Mark joined Bayleys over 20 years ago as Group Marketing Manager. In this role he oversaw significant growth in the Bayleys brand nationwide, worked extensively in helping manage Bayleys’ franchise network and oversaw the development of marketing campaigns for many trophy properties around New Zealand.

Mark saw the growth opportunities for the North of Auckland region and, together with his sister Kirsty, began the journey acquiring Bayleys offices in this beautiful part of the world. The first office they purchased was Warkworth in April 2007, and now they have ten offices and almost 200 staff servicing their clients throughout the North.

Prior to joining Bayleys Mark worked in a variety of marketing and management roles for the NZ Dairy Board, based in Wellington and Singapore, and then Dunlop Slazenger in the sporting goods business, based in the UK and then the USA. A strong part of the attraction of returning to New Zealand was the quality of lifestyle on offer and he’s certainly making the most of it.

Having grown up on a dairy farm, the pull to move back to the country was strong, and he and his family are loving living on a small rural block in Matakana. Passionate about the local communities that he operates in, Mark is always getting involved with numerous community causes and initiatives. He’s coached junior rugby and cricket for many years, is past chairman of the One Mahurangi Business Association and is a past president of the Warkworth A&P show.

Mark is, perhaps unusually, a third-generation real estate agent. He’s passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and is very proud of the team that he works with at Bayleys in the North.
