Martin started his real estate career in 1984 in Cairns, completed a Certificate of Real Estate in 1989, and in the same year was acknowledged as being Cairns’ top salesperson with sales in excess of $70 million for the preceding two years.
Martin started working with Bayleys Real Estate in Queenstown in 2004 specialising in leasing and commercial sales, both large and small. Martin has an impressive list and variety of tenants. Some developments include the Ngai Tahu Post Office Precinct with tenants such as National Bank, ANZ Bank, the magnificent Nomads building in Church Street/Searle Lane, and more recently Carter Holt Harvey.
Because of his long association with Queenstown (moved here from Dunedin in 1974 as a young chef) Martin is respected in the community and is frequently asked information on rental rates and trends happening in the town.
Martin’s hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, photography and skiing. His son Adam has been a member of the New Zealand National ski team since 2004 and represented NZ at the last Olympics in Sochi.
