Bayleys Otago and Southland is excited to announce the launch of the Bayleys Boot Drive 2026, once again in partnership with the Highlanders rugby team. This community initiative, running across Otago and Southland, aims to support young rugby players and their families by providing much‑needed rugby boots for the upcoming season.
From late March 2026, families are encouraged to donate their used kids’ rugby boots by dropping them off at their local Bayleys office. These donations help ensure aspiring young athletes have the proper footwear to take the field and enjoy the game they love. A Bayleys representative will then ensure the boots are delivered to local schools and rugby clubs in time for the 2026 rugby season kicking off in May.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Highlanders for the Bayleys Boot Drive 2026,” said Stacy Coburn, Bayleys Queenstown CEO. “This initiative is a simple but powerful way for our community to come together and support the next generation of rugby players. Every child should have the opportunity to play, without families having to fork out significant money for sports gear and it’s also a great excuse to clear out the garage.”
Mike Kerr, Commercial Manager for the Highlanders, added, “We’re thrilled to once again work alongside Bayleys on an initiative that addresses a real need in our communities and helps more families so their kids can get out and play sport.”
The Bayleys Boot Drive 2026 will run throughout the early part of the rugby season, with collection points available at all Bayleys offices across Otago and Southland.
