Bayleys Canterbury's residential salespeople Sarah Eastmond and Johnny Curragh greeted guests at Frobisher Interiors.

A sponsor for the second year running, Bayleys was thrilled to be part of the sold-out event. Bayleys Canterbury agents were at Frobisher Interiors, welcoming ticket holders between visits to ten gorgeous Christchurch properties.

Sue Stanaway from the Bayleys Foundation, says the tour was a showcase of how Cantabrians are rebuilding after the Earthquakes. “There were striking contemporary, new homes that have been built from scratch, as well as stunning rebuilds that honour the spirit of homes that were destroyed. It was a positive reminder of how beautiful Christchurch is.”

Guests on the day had a range of reasons for attending the tour – from getting ideas for design and colour in their own homes to those new to the city getting a feel for what is out there. Tour goers loved how different each property was, with favourites being the “retro”, “funky” and “colourful” homes on the Cashmere Hills.

Suzy McPherson, a Bayleys Canterbury agent, says the tour provides a conversation starter for those looking to buy. “It gives people an idea of what they do and don’t like in a home, what they would like as their next property – whether it’s upsizing or downsizing - and what suburbs they might enjoy.”

A steady stream of people visited the Bayleys stand throughout the day, with the Air New Zealand Airpoints™ competition proving very popular. Every ticket holder received a cardboard key in their goodie bag, when they registered for the tour, which was then exchanged for a real key. Two keys unlocked the Bayleys door, with one person taking away $300 Airpoints™ and the other a local restaurant voucher.

Second prize winner, Roz Malkin, unlocked the Bayleys door to win a dinner for two voucher at Freeman's restaurant in Lyttelton.

Bayleys Canterbury Agent, Nicky Butler, said the competition provided a fun way to let people know about its strong partnership with Air New Zealand. “A lot of people don’t know that Bayleys is the only real estate company that offers up to $500 Airpoints™ when they sell their home.”
