New terraced residences set to emerge beside Pakuranga Plaza

Thirty new terraced residences are to be created on what was formerly the site of the White Horse Tavern in Pakuranga.


The new development is named East Link. Situated on Ti Rakau Drive, the three storey mixed-use development will have a selection of upmarket food and beverage outlets plus convenience retail on the ground floor, with roomy two storey terraced residences above.

East Link terraced residences are just a convenient 200 metre walk from Pakuranga Plaza shopping centre with its full complement of retail facilities. The location is perfect to enjoy the weekly Pakuranga Night Markets which bring a vibrant and vast array of ethnic eating options to the locality every Saturday night.

Prospective buyers of the off-plan East Link terraced residences can choose from a two or three-bedroom configuration - all with outdoor decks:

  • A three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom residence with a total area of 106 square metres

  • A three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom residence with a total area of 98 square metres

  • A three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom residence with a total area of 103 square metres

    and
  • A three-bedroom/one study, two-and-a-half bathroom residence with a total area of 113 square metres

  • A two-bedroom/one study, two-and-a-half bathroom residence with a total area of 108 square metres.


Prices for the freehold East Link terraced residences in Ti Rakau Drive will range from $769,000.
 
Sales of the East Link terraced residence began on October 8 - with an on-site office open daily from 11am to 6pm or by appointment. The terraced residences are bigger than comparable apartment developments in the inner-city – and have been designed to broadly cater for all buyer dynamics, including families, singles, investors, first home buyers and down-sizers.
 
Each East Link terraced residence will come with a covered carport in the gated upper level car park and secure environment positioned above the retail units below. A limited number of additional car parks are available for residents to buy for $30,000 each.
 
All residences will be double-glazed – with windows and doors providing both thermal and acoustic insulation. The decks will be laid with tiles and feature glass balustrades. Heat pumps will be located in the living areas of all apartments, with gas hot water and cooking appliances.

An open-plan living format will be common to all East Link terraces residence type – with kitchens facing outward over the dining area, through the lounge/living space, and out toward the decking areas which will overlook Ti Rakau Drive, Reeves Road, or towards Pakuranga Plaza.
 
Kitchens in East Link terraced residences will be fitted out with Fisher and Paykel appliances, with stone benchtops for food preparation and service. Technology will also be at the forefront of every East Link terraced residence – with high speed broadband capability wired to all units.
 
Tenancies to occupy the street-level retail and hospitality sites are currently being negotiated and are expected to open concurrently with the handing over of the apartment keys to their new owners. East Link terraced residences are scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2017.
 
The project is being undertaken by East Link Limited – a subsidiary of privately-owned New Zealand company Synergy Property Group. Residences will come with a 10-year guarantee. A body corporate is being established for the entire development.
