About Paul


Paul Dixon has been a very active and hugely successful commercial real estate broker for Bayleys Real Estate for over eleven  years. He is consistently a high achiever and top performer year on year.

Paul also holds a very senior role in the Commercial & Industrial Team manging Tourism, Waterfront, Business Sales and Hospitality teams.

Currently he manages a team of 12 brokers as well as continuing to drive his commercial business whilst maintaining a consistent client engagement and relationship commitment amongst his NZ wide client base.

Paul has personally sold in excess of $160 million dollars of real estate and is well on his way to surpass the $200 million level. In addition Paul has shared in deals that exceed $750 million.

During his tenure at Bayleys Real Estate Paul has built a strong reputation in the marketplace through exemplary performance, peer respect and an overall credibility within the Commercial/Industrial sector as being the best of the best.

Paul’s track record with clients has been a rewarding one especially as he has successfully managed major corporate account acquisitions and divestment of property such as Foodstuffs North Island, and managed mission critical receivership sales with notable accounting firms such as Koorda Mentha, ANZ and BNZ Banking groups

He is also known for being able to take on those difficult projects that most agents would decline because he thinks three dimensionally and has the ability to get the tough deals across the line.

Paul’s marketing skills are second to none, exemplified by continually winning marketing awards for excellence within Bayleys New Zealand. His awards for the Bell Tea Portfolio ,Silver Oaks, and Matua Vineyard being the winner of major PR awards within the Bayleys structure, hold him in high regards as a sales and marketing champion.

Paul’s self expectations are very high, unleashing a platform to create superior client outcomes. He focuses on best practises and supreme service for his clients.

Paul has previously held very senior positions within the IT Sector in New Zealand prior to choosing a new career in Real Estate.

Outside of work Paul was a very successful Triathlete competing in many endurance events such as Ironman in New Zealand and overseas. Paul competed at the World Champs in Kona Hawaii in 1985 and 1987 representing New Zealand. He has finished over 50 marathons and many other long distance running and swimming endurance events.

At the beginning of 2016 TWE (Matua) Ltd reached out to New Zealand’s five most respected international Real Estate agencies inviting them to pitch for the sale of the iconic Matua property, located at 311-315 Waikoukou Valley, Waimauku. The property is a unique property with a rich history having been the birthplace of New Zealand’s first Sauvignon Blanc, and home of the fine dining restaurant The Hunting Lodge. Selling the property of ~32.7 hectares posed challenges with its bottling lines, barrel hall, extensive winery, Cellar Door, vineyard and prized agricultural land on the edge of the West Auckland urban development zone. The property required some vision and lateral thinking in pursuit of a range of potential buyers from multiple industries, foreign investors, land bankers etc. From the onset the Bayley’s team provided a polished and cohesive approach to their pitch and the eventual successful sale of the property, meeting the long list of objectives set by the client (TWE).

Bayley’s initial pitch was outstanding and outshone that of their competitors. TWE were blown away by the detail and effort that had been made to put forward what would ultimately be the winning pitch.

At TWE we follow a global approach to review and evaluate all potential vendors based a set of proven criteria. Bayley’s achieved a rating higher than their competitors in all areas of evaluation. Once awarded the right to sell the property, the Bayley’s team (lead by Paul Dixon) hit the ground running. Communication was excellent, planning was amazing and their professionalism unwavering.

Delighted with the final outcome TWE can truly say that Bayley’s delivered on all their promises and have now established a trust relationship with our organisation which I’m sure will be utilised moving forward.
