From drawing houses as a primary school student to studying Architectural technology and Construction management in Denmark, Bulgarian-born, Petko Petkov, has displayed a life-long interest in property. In Sydney, Petko added Sustainable building design to his field of study and has since worked in Auckland, project managing for Naylor Love on projects exceeding $100m.
Petko is an entrepreneurial character who began his first business aged 10, and in high school he was selling Adidas tracksuits to the other students. In Denmark, he ran a successful fabric business. Now, moving into real estate sales, Petko combines these exhaustive talents to bring an exceptional skill base to his local property portfolio.
Petko’s unique knowledge of everything from design and planning, costing and management, negotiation and supervision to completion and selling, gives him the ability to genuinely engage with investors, developers and vendors alike.
If anyone understands the process of turning a house in to your dream home, it’s Petko. As soon as he walks into a house he can see where a wall could be moved, a window put in, a roof raised. Or he can just see straight away the strengths each house has to offer a potential buyer.
A Devonport local, you’ll find Petko is very personable and a keen listener - he has lived in four countries and six cities and has learned to relate easily to people from all walks of life with empathy.
In his own time, Petko is a member of Auckland Rotary, and for work-life balance spends time meditating and karate training to maintain a clear focus throughout the day.
Petko is a proponent of real estate guru, Josh Phegan. Unphased by prospecting, door knocking, and negotiations, Petko will leave no stone unturned to get the best result from your property sale. Don’t hesitate to give him a call…
“Petko was very dedicated to selling our property. He listened well, cared about the presentation of the property, returned calls promptly, was conscientious, was creative and not afraid to put new ideas into the mix. Had a good sense of humour too.”
"I worked with Petko in my recent purchase. He was very professional and approachable. Even at times when the negotiation was getting tough, he remained very respectful and gave us time and space to think. It has been a pleasure dealing with him."
"Fe and I cannot recommend Petko highly enough to sell your house! We had a very specific criteria for who we wanted as our agent and the time, effort, and more importantly, the result proved that we were absolutely correct in going with him! Petko was fantastic from the get-go. He worked well with potential buyers and understood their position around our property as well as having the patience to work with the eventual buyer who came to our house 7 times!" The attention to detail, the weekly reporting, the follow up with potential buyers and his comments helped manage our expectations as well as keeping across the level of interest and price expectations.”
