With more than 20 years of experience in real estate, including 14 years in sales and six years in property management, David Cruikshank brings a wealth of industry knowledge and practical expertise to his role as Property Manager at Bayleys New Plymouth.

David’s career in property began after several successful years working in sales overseas, where he developed strong communication and relationship-building skills that continue to serve his clients today. His background in sales provided a natural transition into property management, equipping him with the negotiation skills, resilience, and problem-solving mindset needed to navigate the fast-paced real estate environment.

What sets David apart is his genuine ability to connect with people and his commitment to delivering excellent results. He enjoys the challenge that property management brings and takes pride in helping people secure a place to call home while protecting what is often their most valuable asset. His extensive experience ensures clients benefit from practical solutions, sound judgement, and consistent support.

David is proud to call New Plymouth home, where he has strong ties to the local community through family and friendships. He has a long-standing connection to local rugby, supporting Tukapa Rugby Club and maintaining a special loyalty to Kaponga RFC, where his rural roots began.

Outside of work, David leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys running, has completed several half marathons, and is currently training toward a full marathon. He also values time spent outdoors, particularly tramping and exploring New Zealand’s scenic walking tracks.
