Rachel has already achieved some lofty goals in the few years she has been selling real estate. With tertiary qualifications in marketing, management and languages from the University of Waikato and a subsequent career spent working in marketing and sales for top brands including Nokia and Fonterra, Rachel combines a laser focus on results based activity with a human approach to providing the very best in customer service. For Rachel it was never really a question of if she would become involved in Real Estate, but more a question of when. Rachel’s father, Brian Waldegrave was a founding father of Realty Services which owns the franchise for Bayleys throughout the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki as well as Eves Real Estate, the market leader in the Bay of Plenty and now here in the Waikato. With her brother James Waldegrave selling for Eves in Tauranga and husband Stephen Shale a director, auctioneer and shareholder in the business, it’s truly a family affair. From a young age, Rachel watched and learned as Realty Services grew into a company now employing over 400 people and with operations across residential, rural, commercial and industrial, as well as property management and financial services.

Married to Stephen and with four children, Rachel is heavily involved in her children’s school communities and the wider community she and Stephen are a part of. She is a passionate believer in “the more you give the more you get” and attempts to live up to this philosophy as much as possible with a variety of voluntary roles. Rachel loves Hamilton and is a big fan of living here. She believes it is a wonderfully dynamic and engaging city that offers a fantastic lifestyle to those who choose to make it their home.
