About the area
Mangawhai straddles three districts – Rodney, Kaipara and Whangarei and is split into the ‘Village’ on the south west of the harbour, and the ‘Heads’ on the north east - a causeway links both localities. On the doorstep are Langs Beach, Waipu Cove and the greater Kaipara area.
